Two people have been rushed to hospital after their van overturned and burst into flames.

Reports state that the incident took place this afternoon on the R751 between Beehive and Wicklow town.

The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
