Proposals to extend maternity leave in cases of premature birth

Mothers of premature babies would only begin maternity leave when their child arrives out of hospital under new proposals, writes Irish Examiner political reporter Elaine Loughlin.

The Green Party have put down a motion calling for the Government to extend the maternity leave and maternity benefit of mothers of babies born prematurely.
