Latest: Man in serious condition after Dublin shooting

Update 9.48pm: A man is in a serious in condition in hospital after being shot in Dublin tonight.

It is understood he suffered a number of injuries in an incident at Parslickstown Green in Mulhuddart just after 8pm.

The man, who is aged in his 30s, is said to be from the locality.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Earlier: A man has been shot in Dublin this evening.

It is understood he suffered a number of injuries in an incident in Mulhuddart at about 7.30pm.

He has been rushed to hospital in Blanchardstown.

Emergency services remain at the scene.
