Boy killed in suspected hit and run in Co Derry

A boy has been killed in a suspected hit and run incident in Co Derry.

The teenager was knocked down on Newbridge Road in Coleraine last night at around 6.30.

Police say the car that struck the teenager failed to stop at the scene.

The vehicle was located in the Magherafelt area later.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and is being questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
