Celebrated author William Trevor passes away aged 88
Revered Cork born author William Trevor has died at the age of 88.
His death was announced earlier today by Penguin Random Ireland.

Trevor was born in Mitchelstown, County Cork, in 1928 and is most recognised for his modern short stories.
Last year he was awarded for singular and sustained distinction in the creative arts with the honour of Saoi by Aosdána.
