Man charged in connection with seizure of firearm

Gardaí have charged a man in connection with the seizure of firearm in Dublin.

The 25-year-old man is due to appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow morning at 10.30am.

Gardaí seized the firearm following the planned search of a property in the Fitzgibbon Street Sub District on Wednesday.

The man was arrested and detained at Mountjoy Garda Station and remains in Garda custody.
