Six TDs may face disciplinary action for breaking the Dáil dress code
Six TDs could be facing disciplinary action for breaches of the Dáil dress code.
The TDs from the Anti-Austerity Alliance-People Before Profit could be sanctioned for wearing jumpers with the slogan 'REPEAL', referring to the 8th Amendment.
The Dáil's disciplinary committee is now investigating whether the jumpers were a breach of House rules.
But TD Paul Murphy, who wore the jumper, doesn't believe action is likely: "Yeah I don’t think there will or there can be any sanction for us wearing the repeal jumpers, if there was to be I don't think there would be any sanction for it and we would object to it in the strongest possible terms.
"We would take whatever road of appeal we could, but I don't think that’s going to happen here."
