HSE reimbursed €12m after pharmacy chain/branch incorrectly charged fees
A pharmacy chain operating in Ireland has repaid €12m to the HSE for incorrectly charged fees according to reports.
An RTE investigation looked into the alleged irregularities surrounding the pharmacy chain/branch and the payments made last year.
In a statement released by the HSE, it stated: "Following an investigation into a number of matters including Phased Dispensing, that a satisfactory resolution has been reached with the pharmacy branch/chain concerned."
The HSE did not name the pharmacy involved but went on to say: "Investigations in relation to claims submitted for payment by a number of other pharmacy branches/chains are underway."
It is understood these investigations could result in further money being reimbursed to the HSE.
We have contacted the pharmacy chain named in the reports and are awaiting a response.
