Unions and management to meet over safety of Oberstown Campus staff

IMPACT and Siptu trade unions, representing residential care staff at the Oberstown campus, will attend a meeting with management today.

Planned industrial action at the campus in Dublin has been deferred to allow the talks to place.

Children's Minister Katherine Zappone visited the facility last week and welcomed the deferral while inspecting the damage of a recent fire at the centre.

The aim of the meeting is to bring a resolution to outstanding issues in the ongoing dispute over the safety of staff working at the campus.
