Regulators get more than 3,000 claims after the collapse of Low Cost Holidays

More than 3,000 people have lodged claims with the Commission for Aviation Regulation after the collapse of Low Cost Holidays.

The Spanish tour operator ceased trading on July 15 leaving an estimated 15,000 Irish holiday makers out of pocket.

Customers have until September 19, 2016, to submit their claim.

The Commission says it is assessing the claims received so far and in some instances additional information and documentation has been sought.
