A man killed in a road collision in Co Down has been named as Patrick Lively.

The 60-year-old farmer died after a crash on Bryansford Road near Hilltown on Monday.

PSNI Constable Stephen Dickson said: "Police can confirm that a man, who has been named as 60-year-old Patrick Gerald Lively, has died following a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in Hilltown last night."

The incident happened at about 6pm at the junction with Kinnahalla Road.

Pc Dickson appealed for anyone with information to contact police and said the scene of the accident would remain closed for some time.
