Dublin Bus has turned a corner, says union organiser

Dublin Bus has improved, but workers' wages have not, a union representative has said today.

Workers at the company could begin industrial action within two weeks, causing traffic chaos for commuters.

The Siptu union is meeting today to decide their next course of action regarding a long-running pay dispute.

Drivers want pay rises in line with those recently given to Luas drivers.

"We’re making this argument because Dublin Bus has improved, it's turned a corner," says Siptu divisional organiser Owen Reidy.

"We've had eight years of pay cuts and pay stagnation, and now is the time for pay to improve."
