Full access restored to Gardaí's computer systems

Full access has been restored to the Gardaí's computer systems today.

It follows an attempted security breach of the force's IT service.

Last week officers detected zero day malware software on one of their systems.

As a result access to the system was removed while the issue was addressed.

Gardaí say as a precaution heightened security measures have now been put in place.
