A mother-of-three knocked over by a scrambler motorbike while walking her dog in a forest park has died.

Valerie Armstrong, 35, died in hospital surrounded by her family, police said.

A 17-year-old male arrested following the incident in the Colin Glen forest park in west Belfast on Tuesday evening has been charged with a number of offences.

He is due to appear in court in Belfast on Thursday morning.

A 15-year-old boy also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
