An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed in Dublin yesterday afternoon.

An 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed in Dublin yesterday afternoon.

The teenagers were detained overnight - after a man in his 20s lost his life in an incident in Crumlin yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Seagull House on Rutland Ave in Crumlin at about 4pm yesterday.

A man in his 20's had been stabbed and was rushed to St James Hospital where he later passed away.

The two 18 year old's were arrested late last night in connection with the incident.

They are being held at Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A post mortem on the man's remains is scheduled to take place today.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Gardai - investigations are continuing.
