Closure of cigarette factory in Westmeath results in loss of 87 jobs

Almost 90 jobs are being lost with the closure of a cigarette production factory in Co Westmeath.

A major tobacco firm is to shut one of its factories in the Midlands.

Imperial Tobacco is to close its manufacturing plant in Mullingar, Co Westmeath with the loss of 87 jobs.
