Some BOI customers have experienced technical issues this afternoon

Bank of Ireland has acknowledged technical issues being experienced by some customers this afternoon.

A number of the bank's customers have reported issues with their Visa debit cards.

The bank says normal service will resume as soon as possible.

Bank of Ireland has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

@bankofireland i cannot use my visa debit card at present...?? Will these issues be resolved by this evening so I can access my funds?
