Enda Kenny has described the EU referendum as the biggest decision since the Good Friday peace agreement, claiming Brexit would create instability and uncertainty and the likely return of border checkpoints.

The Taoiseach said it was not credible to suggest nothing would change at the Irish border if the UK left the EU.
