375 migrants taken aboard the LÉ Róisín

375 migrants have been taken aboard the LÉ Róisín today.

The Irish naval vessel is currently assisting in operations in the Mediterranean.

A first operation involving 139 migrants happened 29 nautical miles north east of the Libyan capital Tripoli.

Immediately following the first rescue, the LÉ Róisín was re-tasked to assist with the transfer of 236 migrants from an NGO vessel.
