A Dublin man, who tried to take back his guilty murder plea, has been handed the mandatory life sentence for beating a man to death during a robbery.

Thomas Horan, who was in his 60s and living in sheltered accommodation, was also strangled with a belt and had a plastic bag placed over his head.
