Unofficial strike taking place at Poolbeg incinerator in Dublin

100 workers are engaged in an unofficial strike at the Poolbeg incinerator in Dublin.

SIPTU claims workers have taken the action at the construction site after three people were let go by text message.

The union is meeting with its members today to discuss the situation.

Construction is underway on the €500m project - with the facility expected to come on stream next year.
