Time to turn words into action, President Higgins tells World Humanitarian Summit

The President Michael D Higgins has called for a profound rethink of international politics to end the global humanitarian crisis.

Speaking at the first ever World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul this morning, he called on the United Nations to act decisively against poverty, conflict, displacement and climate change.
