Doherty insists her former company was liquidated properly

The Government chief whip Regina Doherty is insisting her failed IT business was liquidated in accordance with company law.

Deputy Doherty says she wants to clarify the situation because of what she claims are attempts to misrepresent the facts.

In an article in today's Irish Independent, the Meath East TD said her company Enhanced Solutions ceased trading in 2009.

The Government chief whip has said the company was liquidated in 2011.

She has said this was done in an orderly fashion and in accordance with company law.
