Dublin road works expected to result in long delays

Long delays are expected in Dublin City tonight and tomorrow as a result of Luas Cross City works.

Lane restrictions will be in place on Bachelors Walk, O'Connell Bridge, Burgh Quay and Westmoreland Street from 9pm until midday tomorrow.

Heavy traffic is expected on approach to the works on the North Quays, South Quays and Dame Street.

AA Roadwatch's Rachel Murray has this advice: “During these works, motorists are advised to allow additional time for their journeys and consider alternative routes.

“Maybe take a look at our website and see what kind of roads are going to be affected by it and plan your journey ahead of time.”
