Irish men and women who died at Gallipoli and elsewhere during the first World War will be remembered for Anzac day.

President Michael D. Higgins will attend a dawn service of remembrance at Grangegorman Military Cemetery in Dublin this morning.

Around 900 Irish died during the battle at Gallipoli over a hundred years ago.

Many Irish men where serving with the Australian and New Zealand armies at the time.
