Gardaí appeal for witnesses after motorway assault

Gardaí have revealed details of a robbery that happened on the M7 motorway, just south of Naas, shortly after 12.10pm last Wednesday.

Three men in their 20s had pulled into the hard shoulder when they were approached by four men in a white Volkswagen Golf.

The four men then assaulted them and stole a small quantity of cigarettes.

Gardaí have established that the white Golf had travelled from Tallaght before the robbery and then onto Tullow in Co Carlow.

The motorway was busy at the time and Gardaí are seeking witnesses to contact them.
