Man falls to his death in Waterford workplace accident

A man has died in a workplace accident in Waterford.

It is understood he fell from a height while working at a cement factory in Ferrybank just after 4pm.

He was treated at the scene, however he was later pronounced dead.

A post mortem examination will be carried out at University Hospital Waterford.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations into the fatality.
