Judge to sentence woman for neglecting and beating her children for six years

A mother who beat and neglected her children for years in the west of Ireland will find out today if she is going to be sent to prison for it.

Her former partner, and father to two of her children, is also due to be sentenced this afternoon after pleading guilty to five counts of neglect.
