Wind warning in place this evening

A status yellow wind warning has been issued by Met Éireann for the entire country.

According to the Meteorological site there will be quite a lot of wind this evening with heavy, thundery, blustery showers.

The showers will die out overnight but it will remain cold with temperatures hitting lows of 2-4 degrees.

The AA has said when driving in windy conditions, keep both hands on the wheel and watch out for flying debris.

This warning remains in place until 9pm tonight.
