Ireland seeks extradition of senior IRA figure in connection with child abuse allegations

A senior IRA figure has appeared in court in Spain on foot of an extradition request from the Irish authorities in connection with alleged child abuse.

It is reported that he could face up to four charges in connection with historic abuse allegations.
