Islanders to begin voting today as election campaign winds down

Polling begins in the General Election today on 12 islands off the western and northern coasts.

Some 2,133 people are eligible to vote on the islands off Donegal, Mayo and Galway, before a broadcast moratorium begins at 2pm.
