Gardaí are trying to establish the final movements of murder victim, Kenneth O'Brien.
The 33-year-old father of one was last seen alive a week ago, and his remains were discovered in the Grand Canal the following day.
Extensive searches have been carried out near Ardclough in Co. Kildare and gardaí are following hundreds of lines of inquiry.
It is expected that gardaí will release details of the suitcase in which Mr. O'Brien's torso was found later.
Investigations Editor with the Sunday World, Nicola Tallant said he kept a low profile; “This is somebody who didn’t use social media.
“He was surprisingly absent through all searches of the internet, he had no Facebook site, no Twitter site, nothing like that, he was obviously a low key person.”
