Trinity College study comes up with amount of time people over 50 should walk for better health
Walking for 150 minutes per week significantly improves the lives of those over the age of 50, according to Dublin's Trinity College.
The new research claims exercise is linked to better mental health and wellbeing, saying it can even increase your social life.
However, the findings also show that two-thirds of older people in Ireland do very little physical activity.
The latest information will be used to target health promotion campaigns where they are needed most.
