Arrest made in investigation of body found in Limerick
Gardaí investigating the discovery of a man's body in a back garden in Limerick have made an arrest.
The woman who is in her mid 30s was taken into custody last night.
The State Pathologist is at the scene today at the Pines housing estate in Briarfield, Castletroy, where the human remains were found yesterday.
A formal identification has yet to be made, but it is believed the discovery may be linked to the case of a missing 38-year-old Polish man.
A post-mortem will be carried out on the body later and forensic tests are taking place at the house.
Superintendent Derek Smart is treating the man's death as suspicious and he is urging anyone with information to come forward: “The appeal is that anyone who may have been in the Briarfield area of Castletroy, since December 30, and may have seen something unusual, heard something unusual, or may have any information at all as to how a person came to be in the back yard of a house in Briarfield,
“We would appeal to them to come forward, to contact us at the Garda confidential line, 1800 666 111.”
