Gerry Adams 'assumes his phone is always tapped'

6.30pm: Catherine Murphy TD, who previously used a so-called "throwaway phone" to protect her sources has said she still uses it to communicate with them.

Catherine Murphy said: "I was very conscious of the people who came forward to me, that they expected me to make sure the information was kept confidential…We still have small, cheap phones that we use for specific purposes."
