Joan Burton planning to retain Labour leadership after election

The Labour leader Joan Burton does not appear to be bothered about speculation on who her successor will be.

The Tánaiste is in the job just 18 months, but is likely to face a heave in the immediate aftermath of the General Election if Labour suffers heavy losses.
