Boy, 8, dies in farming accident; Health and Safety Authority investigate

An eight-year-old boy has died after a farming accident in Co. Galway.

Gardaí have said that the incident happened in Kilcolgan between 11am and 11.30am this morning.

The boy was rushed to University Hospital Galway where he passed away this afternoon.

The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and will investigate the cause of the incident.
