Tánaiste labels Sinn Féin TD a 'bar-room brawler'

The Tánaiste has called a Sinn Féin TD "a bar-room brawler".

On the final day of sitting before a month long holiday for Christmas, there have been rowdy scenes in the Dáil chamber.

Joan Burton clashed with Sinn Féin deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald over health policy.

And after heckling from Donegal TD Padraig McLochlainn, Joan Burton told him he was a "disgrace": “We want to see more women in this Dáil precisely to avoid the kind of behaviour you have just indulged in,

“A bar-room brawler, a bar-room brawler, You are a disgrace.”
