Morale 'low' among gardaí
Morale among gardaí is very low according to members of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors.
A survey of AGSI members showed that 86% think that morale is either low or very low.
Almost three quarters said that they were dissatisfied with their increased workload due to a reduced number of supervisors.
That is despite a Garda Inspectorate report which recommends further streamlining of management to put more gardaí on the streets.
The AGSI have met with Garda Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan this morning to discuss morale and other issues within the force.
