Central Bank releases draft report

The Central Bank has released an internal audit which shows it failing to honour the code of conduct for semi-state bodies.

The report is at the centre of a dispute which has seen one of its authors claim they were unfairly dismissed by the bank.

The auditor claims they were pressurised to remove some of the findings, and has taken action against the Central Bank, which says employees are not discriminated against if they raise concerns.

The claims were raised earlier at the Public Accounts Committee by Sinn Féin's Mary Lou McDonald.
