Air Accident investigators are appealing to members of the public who may have video footage of a rescue at Hook Head in Co Wexford to come forward.

Air Accident investigators are appealing to members of the public who may have video footage of a rescue at Hook Head in Co Wexford to come forward.

On Sunday, two teenagers were winched to safety by the rescue helicopter after they were swept out to sea by a freak wave.

However one of them, a 15-year-old girl, is understood to have accidentally slipped back into the sea while being rescued.

She is still in a critical condition at Waterford University Hospital.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit is appealing to anyone with any footage of the incident to contact .

The investigation is ongoing.
