Clare County Council requests assistance of Irish Army in flood defence efforts

Clare County Council has said it has officially requested the assistance of the Irish Army in its flood defence efforts in the Springfield area of Clonlara, Southeast Clare.

The Council has received confirmation from the Defences Forces of its decision to immediately deploy members to assist the Council in its ongoing operation.
