The IFA executive council has received the resignation of the organisation's president, Eddie Downey, during a crisis meeting this evening.

The IFA executive council has received the resignation of the organisation's president, Eddie Downey, during a crisis meeting this evening.

A new president is due to be elected within two months, according to the IFA's constitution.
