Gardaí seize €80k of drugs and €13k in cash at 12 sites in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick have seized drugs and cash in 12 separate searches targeting organised crime in the city.

The 12 locations in the city were searched this afternoon as part of "Operation Thor" and they included houses, derelict houses and waste land.

Controlled drugs - including cannabis resin, cocaine and benzodiazepine worth more than an estimated €80,000 - along with €13,000 in cash, was seized during the searches.

A number of shotgun cartridges were also recovered at one of the locations, but no arrests were made.
