The major Islamic organizations in Ireland have condemned the Paris shootings and explosions in the strongest terms.

They say the "horrendous and inhumane attacks are against all human and moral values" and are "crimes against humanity that cannot be justified under any circumstances".

They also disassociate their faith and from the violent and brutal acts and those who perpetrate them.

They have offered their condolences to the families of the victims.

Their statement in full

"In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate Most Merciful

We, the Islamic organizations named below, condemn in the strongest terms the heinous attacks and series of explosions that rocked the city of Paris on Friday night 13th November 2015 resulting in the loss of tens of innocent lives.

We believe that these horrendous and inhumane attacks are against all human and moral values and are crimes against humanity that cannot be justified under any circumstances and such acts should be denounced wherever they occur.

We disassociate our faith and our fellow Muslims from such violent and brutal acts and those who perpetrate them. We also offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured."
