A drug addict has been found guilty of murdering his friend during a row over heroin at a house in Cork in May 2012.

A drug addict has been found guilty of murdering his friend during a row over heroin at a house in Cork in May 2012.

41-year-old Peter Jackson of Kerryhall Road, Fairhill, Co. Cork admitted stabbing David Hamilton but said he never meant to kill him.

During the trial the jury were told to "get inside the mind" of the accused before reaching a verdict.

The jury returned with the guilty verdict after almost ten hours of deliberations.
