Emma and Vanessa Witherow, whose stepfather was jailed on Monday for sexually abusing them over a 10-year period, have spoken about the effects of the abuse on their lives and how they now feel about their mother.

The sisters opened up for the first time on television about their horrendous abuse in the hopes that by exposing their abuser it will give other victims the strength to come out and name and shame their abuser.
