State's top legal offices struggle to hire staff; say pay rates to blame
The Public Accounts Committee has heard that the DPP and the Chief State Solicitor are struggling to hire new staff, due to pay rates.
TDs have heard the pay being offered for the public posts is too low, considering when workers can earn more than double the same amount in private firms.
