The trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering a young mother at a hotel in Dublin has been adjourned.

Earlier this week, Eric Locke (aged 33), of St John's Park East, Clondalkin, has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to murdering Sonia Bount at Room 34 of the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght on February 16, 2014.

The jurors were due to begin hearing evidence this morning, but Ms Justice Isobel Kennedy discharged them saying she was granting a request from the defence for the trial to be adjourned.

The case will be come before the court again on Monday and she exempted the jurors from jury duty for the next five years.
