Teenager released without charge after assault and house fire in Co Offaly

A teenager who was arrested in connection with an assault and fire in Co Offaly has been released without charge.

A 24-year-old was injured in an assault and a house fire on September 7.

The man suffered extensive burn injuries following the fire at Cloncur, Rhode.

He was also found to have suffered a number of stab wounds.

A file on the 17-year-old will be prepared for the DPP.

A 27-year-old man remains in custody in connection with the incident.
